Arizona Milk Producers received a record number of entries for this year’s annual Milk Mustache Contest.

This year the contest was named one of the “wackiest scholarships in the United States” by CNBC.

Judges from Arizona Milk Producers narrowed the submissions to 15 finalists who then submitted bios, letters of recommendation, and essays. Each received a pair of seats to the Fiesta Bowl and at the game the top three finalists were announced as the scholarship winners and honored on the field at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

The first prize scholarship of $12,000 went to Nathan Marshall, a senior at Corona del Sol. Johnny Schmidt, who attends St. David High School in St. David, won the second place $10,000 scholarship, and ASU student Jenny Butzbach won an $8,000 scholarship.

Thank you to all who entered!
