Maddie and her mom designed and created this outfit for the Tres Rios Recycling Fashion Show on March 5 and 5-year-old Madison took first place!
Her mom hand made her top, skirt, crown and bracelets from recycled milk cartons Maddie collected at her school lunch.
This isn’t the first time she’s been recognized for recycling old cartons. Maddie is in Hickmans Family Farms’ movie, the Angel and the Eggman, in her egg carton dress for 2015’s entry.
