On Aug. 16, 1966, “representatives of Arizona’s dairy industry and Arizona Milk, Inc. met and officially launched the Dairy Council of Arizona. By-Laws, Articles of Incorporation and a Board of Directors were selected for the organization,” according to an announcement in the 1966 United Dairymen of Arizona (UDA) magazine.

Dairy Council of Arizona was formed for the purpose of promoting milk and milk products in Arizona and works closely with the National Dairy Council in promoting nutrition research and health education in the use of dairy foods.
