Milk Life and Arizona Dairy Industry invite you to ‘Fuel Up’ like Team USA

June Dairy Month celebrates milk’s partnership with USOC while also helping those in need

PHOENIX (June 1, 2016) – This June Dairy Month Arizona Milk Producers are celebrating Milk Life®’s partnership with the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams with multiple activities that both encourage the community to “fuel up” like Team USA and help those in need “fuel up” through The Great American Milk Drive.

Milk is proud to support the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through the Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Milk initiative will educate consumers about the powerful nutritional benefits of milk, and provide Team USA athletes with the support of hundreds of dairy industry groups right in their own communities.

Starting June 1, Arizona Milk Producers will be celebrating Milk’s role in fueling up like Team USA with several community activities, including an online giveaway and participating in popular family-friendly events.  In addition, education about Arizona dairy farming and tips and recipes to incorporate more milk into your diet will continue to be featured both online and in social media.

“Milk has always helped power the potential of athletes and I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate with the community here in Arizona as we countdown the days to Team USA competing in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games,” said Tammy Baker, general manager of Arizona Milk Producers.

Arizona Milk Producers has also partnered with United Dairymen of Arizona to help those in need fuel up like Team USA at participating AJ’s Fine Foods through The Great American Milk Drive. United Dairymen of Arizona, a milk marketing cooperative owned by Arizona dairy families, will be donating one gallon of milk for every entry into the “Fuel Up with Milk like Team USA” online giveaway (up to $7,500).

The grand prize winner will be randomly chosen out of all entries on or around July 6 to win co-branded Milk/Team USA duffel bag and Arizona Milk Producers merchandise as well as a year’s supply of Shamrock Farms milk (valued at $250).
